Knowing which appliance brands are a product of this or that appliance manufacturer can be daunting to say the least. Here is a scorecard of some of the major appliance brands as of today.

Their brand portfolio includes Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amana, Maytag, and JennAir. Whirlpool Corporation has appliance factories in Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts. Of course, to support their worldwide operations they also have numerous factories around the globe.
*Haier/GE also lays claims to being the largest appliance manufacturer in the world, and if you count compact refrigerators and window air conditioners (not typically considered “major” appliances) they may be correct. *GE Appliances, a subsidiary of the Chinese Company, Haier, is headquartered in Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky. Brands marketed by GE Appliances in the US include GE, GE Profile, Cafe’, Monogram, Hotpoint, and of course Haier.

Samsung and LG are each large multinational Korean-based companies. Both firms market full-lines of major appliances under their flagship names. Samsung also sells premium appliances under the Dacor name, and LG has recently launched a premium brand of their own, Signature.

These are the really big companies in the major appliance space, but there are many more that we have yet to mention. Most of these brands specialize in only one product category such as cooking. Here are just a few of them:
Miele, AGA, Asko, Bertazonni, BlueStar, Fisher & Paykel, Hestan, Premier, Perlick, Scotsman, La Cornue, Bertazzoni, Sharp, Speed Queen, Viking
