Whirlpool Sunset Bronze
Whirlpool has launched Sunset Bronze a striking new color/finish. The Sunset Bronze has a shiny gold hue, but also has a grain like stainless steel. However, Whirlpool does not have an exclusive on bronze shades. Samsung has added their own bronze tint called Tuscan Bronze.
Maybe, the color/finish which has the greatest promise, is Black Stainless Steel. It has the grain of stainless steel, and a black color, but not glossy like black acrylic. Not only is it good looking, but it is also easier to clean and keep clean than regular stainless steel. Unfortunately, there are several versions of black stainless appliances. There are shades of gray at one end of the spectrum, and deep black at the other end. Combine that with matte finishes and glossy finishes. This variety will only be a problem if you want to mix brands in your kitchen.

The good news is that consumers win when there are choices. Appliance buyers can now choose from stainless steel appliances in the traditional “shiny silver” hue or in colorful tints that include Sunset Bronze, and Tuscan Bronze or in different shades of Black Stainless Steel in either matte or glossy finishes.
