Browsing through the latest edition of one of the appliance industry trade magazines, I was impressed by all the innovative appliances that were highlighted. I counted 5 descriptions of appliances as innovative, 2 mentions of appliances that were advanced or most advanced, and 1 description of an appliance that was downright revolutionary. And that’s just looking through the advertisements.
But seriously, the new appliances being introduced today have a remarkable amount of new features and innovations. Here are just a few that were mentioned in that trade magazine.
GE has a washing machine featuring Odorblock, a vent system that prevents the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
Sharp is manufacturing a built-in microwave drawer model that can be opened by waving your hand up and down in front of the microwave.
Best Range Hoods has an iQ Blower System that is two times quieter and 20 times more efficient than competitive models. Most exciting for builders is that the included CRT technology makes it possible for the installer to adjust the maximum blower speed to adhere to the local code for make-up air requirements.
Over the past few years, here are a few more appliance innovations that caught my attention for innovation:
KitchenAid introduced a wall oven that has powered attachments that include: an oven-powered grill, a baking stone, and steamer attachments.
Samsung’s 4-door flex fridgerator sports a compartment that can convert from a refrigerator to a freezer.
Several manufacturers are making appliances that can be operated by smart phones. For example, you can be shopping and check what’s in your refrigerator by enabling an interior camera. Ranges can be pre-heated by wifi so that your oven will be ready to go when you get home.
Dacor has been selling a WineStation that enables wine aficionados to dispense 4-bottles of wine. Don’t worry it has a Parental Control Locking Door.
You can see, that manufacturers have been busy making their appliances “smarter”, more intuitive, and just more useful for customers. To find out more about how you can get one of these useful appliances call Arizona Wholesale today.
